I live in Ravenel, SC on 3 acres just a few miles outside Charleston, SC. My husband and I have been living here since October 2000 and love raising animals as a hobby. I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home so I get to spend a lot of time with my animals. We do sell chicks, eggs, and baby goats to cover the cost of the feed. I found it on the side of my house so I moved it with a stick. I couldn't believe Gizmo found it in the tall grass. I had noticed he was smelling around the house where I found it. He followed me a little later after I checked on my chicks in their new home in that area. Obviously he found it by scent. Couldn't resist taking a video.

My baby Blue Indian peachicks and Juliet are so spoiled but worth every penny I spend on feeding them. I am definitely blessed to have them.

I just love her so much. She knew immediately these were live meal worms and went after them and of course fed them to the babies. I also chopped up some Kale stems real small. She'd rather eat the stem than the leaves.

It is very rare that I catch him taking a dirt bath. The females do it much more often. One of the females is setting her nest of eggs now so maybe he is proud and can relax now. LOL

I took this video with my phone and tried to get Romeo to called out. You can hear my husband whistle in the background. When I paused the video once, he whistled and Romeo responded but you know he wouldn't do it when I was recording.

Romeo was on my back porch railing. He just finished eating his bird seed mixture so I offered him some more Kale. He wasn't interested so I started petting him. To my delight, he stayed and let me record it. 😘

I recorded this video from my WiFi camera I have setup in the goat stall this morning. They are only 7 months old. It's getting harder for me to tell which one is Juliet (mom). The first one displaying is a male. I'm pretty sure the other one that has more green on the neck is a female. I still don't know if the mostly white one is male or female. Gilda had triplets, 2 boys and 1 girl on 3/8/18 and Thelma had twins, 2 boys on 3/9/18. They are beautiful. All of them have blue eyes.

I think peacocks should be left in the wild and not bought, that's just my opinion and it is the right opinion.

Your "opinion" isn't right. Anyone can buy a peacock or hatch it and keep it as a pet, you can't stop them, indian karen.
What a darling bird! The wild peafowl where I live are pretty averse to being touched, but when a wild animal shows up on my doorstep asking for food, that feels pretty special.

When I went to Ringsfield Hall with my class for a trip, they had a male peacock called Sebastian, who'd perch ontop of the ledge above the room my group slept in, and would call out so loudly he'd wake us all up 😂

What a beautiful relationship between you and your feathered baby, Romeo ❤. I envy you so much! There is a lovely peacock that comes to my house almost every day. I feed him, and he seems to be happy around me, but he won't let me touch him. The only thing I was able to touch is the tip of the feathers of his tail. If I try to get closer, he steps away. I hope I'll be able to pet him one day, just like you pet your beautiful Romeo! He looks very relaxed when you touch his head. Thank you for taking so good care of him 🤗

@@ChasSquirrel Something in the eyes, the hanging of the head? I may be wrong of course but one of my pet rabbits gave off the same vibes when we changed her hutch. It was essential as the old hutch was no longer safe. I had to give her lots of toys and treats to help her out of her grief. I do apologise if that was at all presumptuous. ☺️
